Located in Bulgan province in northern Mongolia, Uran Togoo is one of the most accessible extinct volcanoes in the country. Its near-perfect cone shape and crater lake make it a striking geological attraction. This area is protected as part of the Uran-Togoo Tulga Nature Reserve and is surrounded by beautiful steppe landscapes and forested hills. The name "Uran Togoo" refers to a kettle or pot-like shape in Mongolian, highlighting its classic volcanic form.
