On this 21-day adventure, our journey will commence at the Tsenkher hot spring, leading us through the picturesque landscapes to the enchanting 8 Lakes National Park. Accompanied by our trusty yaks, we will traverse the serene Mongolian valleys, immersing ourselves in the harmonious blend of steppe and forest.   • Welcome by your guide and your driver at the airport of Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia.

  • The first day program starts at noon. We start with a lunch with the Mongolian team.

  • Visit the superb National Museum of Mongolian History, the largest museum in Mongolia where you will learn the great history of Mongolia.

  • Walk in the city center of Ulaanbaatar and on the main square of Genghis Khan

  • The fabulous traditional Mongolian show of Tumen ekh. You will discover Mongolian instruments, traditional dances, religious dances, traditional songs, overtone songs and contortions.

MINI-GOBI
  • Before heading to the countryside, we'll to visit the Gandantegchilen Monastery. This monastery is a significant cultural and religious site in Mongolia, and it is a must-see attraction for tourists. The monastery is located in the heart of Ulaanbaatar and is easily accessible. It is a peaceful and serene place, and visitors can witness the daily rituals and practices of the monks. The monastery also houses a museum that showcases the rich history and culture of Mongolia. Overall, visiting the Gandantegchilen Monastery is a great way to experience the spiritual and cultural side of Mongolia.

  • Arrival at Khogno-khan Park, which is also known as mini-Gobi. This park boasts a diverse range of landscapes, including a lake, sand dunes that stretch for 80km, trees, and mountains. Once we have arrived and settled into our ger camp, we will have the opportunity to explore the 18th century Erdene khamba monastery and take a leisurely stroll through the sand dunes. For those who are interested, there is also the option to ride a camel.

TSENKHER HOT SPRINGS
  • We will head to the Tsenkher hot spring to bathe in the hot water baths of the ger camp. The hot springs are situated in a picturesque valley surrounded by mountains and lush forests. The water temperature in the springs ranges from 86 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit and is rich in minerals such as sulfur, calcium, and magnesium. The hot springs are known for their therapeutic properties and are believed to have healing effects on various ailments such as arthritis, skin problems, and respiratory issues. We can stay in traditional Mongolian gers and enjoy the natural beauty and tranquility of the area. From this place, Our trekking adventure will commence from this place.

  • In the afternoon, we will proceed to build our tent on the shores of the river, creating a cozy spot for us to rest and enjoy the serene surroundings. It will be a truly magical experience, connecting us with the beauty of nature.

  • We continue our hiking, we are greeted by the sight of nomadic families and various herds of yaks, horses, sheep, and goats scattered throughout the area. The picturesque scenery leaves us in awe. As the afternoon approaches and we arrive at our camping place, we proceed to set up our tents, immersing ourselves in the peaceful ambiance of the surroundings. The nomadic lifestyle teaches us the importance of simplicity and connection with the natural world.

  • Once we have refueled, we will embark on a thrilling adventure of climbing the mountain. Our ultimate destination is the hidden Monastery of Tovkhon, nestled on the mountain at an impressive altitude of 2312 meters.

NOMADIC LIFE 
  • Today we are going to heart of Orkhon valley, an unforgettable journey through the vast expanses of Mongolia. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a place of nomadism where herders set up their summer camps every year. You can discover the culture and way of life of Mongolian nomads by exploring this magnificent region. The landscapes are breathtaking, with majestic mountains, crystal-clear rivers, and endless green steppes. We will spend next 2 days with local nomad family.
  • We will learn about their culture, traditions, and way of life. We will help them with their daily chores such as milking cows, making traditional dairy products, and gathering firewood. This experience will give us a unique insight into the nomadic way of life and allow us to appreciate the simplicity and beauty of living close to nature.
  • On our last day, our host will prepare a traditional Mongolian dish called "Mongolian barbecue made by grilled stone.
  • When we arrive at the Orkhon River's bridge, we will go to the nomadic family using our vehicle.

ULAAN TSUTSGALAN WATERFALL
  • We will proceed our hiking towards Naiman Nuur National Park - "8 lakes" As the evening approaches, we can look forward to the arrival of our Naiman nuur herders. They will descend from the mountain accompanied by their pack yaks, joining us for the night. This will provide a unique opportunity to interact with the herders, learn about their way of life, and experience the presence of the pack yaks.
  • On the way we will stop at Ulaan Tsutgalan waterfall, breathtaking natural wonder that is sure to leave you in awe.  It is the largest waterfall in the country, with a height of 20 meters and a width of 10 meters. The water cascades down from the rocky cliffs above, creating a stunning display of mist and spray. The area around the waterfall is surrounded by lush green forests and rolling hills, making it a truly picturesque setting.

NAIMAN NUUR NATIONAL PARK
  • After breakfast, our journey to Naiman Nuur National Park will begin. We leave our car and we will load our luggages onto the backs of pack yaks, who will accompany us throughout our expedition for 2 days. It's important to remember that there are no established roads for cars to reach our destination. Therefore, we have the option to either walk or ride horses to the park.
  • Our first challenge awaits us as we venture into a vast forest. Here, we will be enveloped by the breathtaking beauty of nature and serenaded by the melodies of wildlife. As we press on, we will encounter an area adorned with volcanic stones, adding a distinctive and rugged touch to our expedition. The landscape will then transform into a marshland, offering a contrasting backdrop and the possibility of spotting intriguing wildlife along the way.

NAIMAN NUUR NATIONAL PARK
  • We will spend a one more day Naiman Nuur National Park to explore its largest and most stunning lake, Shireet. This lake offers a tranquil atmosphere where we can truly appreciate the beauty of the park. It's worth noting that the park is sparsely populated, with only a few nomadic families residing here alongside their yaks and horses. Due to the high altitude and lack of telephone network, these families live in a remote and disconnected environment.
  • In the afternoon, we will arrive at the nomadic family's residence located on the south side of the  national park and we will meet the driver who took an alternate route to reach this nomad family.

HISTORY OF MONGOLIA
  • After our hiking trip in the Orkhon Valley, it is time to visit Kharkhorin City, the ancient capital of Mongolia.

  • Visit to the museum of Kharkhorin, the ancient capital of Mongolia. After creating Mongolia, Genghis Khan wanted to create the capital of the world in the Orkhon Valley, but unfortunately he died before it was built. In 1235, Ugudei, the son of Gengis Khan created this city in honor of his father.

  • Visit to Erdene-zuu monastery. The 29th descendant of Chinggis khan, Abtai Khan, wanted to create a big monastery, but he couldn't choose the right place. Then the 3rd Dalai Lama Sonam Gyatso advised him to build this monastery on the ruins of the ancient capital of Mongolia. In 1586, Abtai Khan then built Erdene-Zuu.

  • Today, we embark on our 4x4 trip towards the captivating Gobi desert, where the vibrant colors of nature undergo a remarkable transformation. Leaving behind the majestic mountains and lush green landscapes, we will soon find ourselves surrounded by the vast expanse of the arid and mesmerizing Gobi, a stark contrast to what we have experienced thus far.
  • Visit to Monastery of Ongi is a fascinating historical monument located in the Southern region of Mongolia. Built in the 17th century, it was one of the largest monasteries in the country and served as one of the first universities in Mongolia. At its peak, 2000 monks lived in the monastery, making it an important religious and educational center. Today, visitors can explore the ruins of the monastery and gain insight into the history and culture of Mongolia.

  • We will continue our journey to Bayanzag, a must-visit destination for any traveler interested in the history of the world. Here, in the Flaming Cliffs, humans have discovered the first dinosaur bone, making it an incredible archaeological site that is sure to leave you in awe.

  • We will continue our journey and we arrive at Sand Dunes of Khongor, you can explore 130 km of vast and stunning sand dunes. Here, you will see the nomad families who live in the area, due to the presence of several oasis and rivers providing water to the animals. We will spend next 2 days with this nomad family.

  • The nomad families living here have adapted to the unique conditions of the desert environment. Their traditional lifestyle revolves around herding livestock such as camels, goats, and sheep, which thrive in this arid region. Observing their daily activities, we can witness their deep connection with nature and the land they inhabit.

SAND DUNES OF KHONGOR
  • A camel trek in the Gobi Desert is an unforgettable experience. This peaceful animal will guide us calmly along the dunes and the Khongor River, also known as Bai Clair, which flows both on the surface and underground. We will reach a small oasis located at the foot of the dunes, where some shrubs, such as saxaul, grow and are highly appreciated by the camels. Mongolians consider saxaul to be one of the most precious woods.

  • In the afternoon, we will climb to the highest dune of the Khongor, an experience you won't forget! From the top, you'll be able to take in the breathtaking views of the sand dunes, and even hear the singing sands as you take it all in. As the sand is moved due to winds or is in the process of collapse due to small avalanches, a strong sound is made giving it the name "Singing Sands.

CANYON OF YOL
  • We will continue our journey by visiting the Canyon of Dungenee. We will embark on a small hiking excursion in this spectacular canyon. Here, we may have the chance to observe some wild animals, such as ibex and gazelle. However, due to the animals' wild nature, it can be difficult to spot them. Nonetheless, with a little bit of luck, we may catch a glimpse of these majestic creatures.
  • Our next stop is the stunning Canyon of Yol! After a night of sleeping under a thousand stars, we take a two-hour scenic walk through the famous Canyon of Yol, breathtakingly beautiful destination for nature lovers. Even in summer, its depths remain frozen due to the canyon's great height, which prevents the sun's rays from reaching its depths. The canyon is also known as the Canyon of Eagles, as many wild birds such as eagles and vultures can be spotted here. After our journey through the Canyon, we continue our trip and visit another nomad family for a night.

  • ​Our next destination is  Tsagaan Suvarga cliffs, get ready to be mesmerized by the sheer beauty of the towering cliffs and layered rock formations. The vibrant colors of the sedimentary layers, ranging from red and orange to white and yellow, create a breathtaking sight that is truly a photographer's dream.

  • Once we arrive, we can explore the area and take in the panoramic views from the top of the cliffs. It's a fantastic spot for hiking, so we can venture on the trails and discover hidden corners of this natural wonder. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture the awe-inspiring landscapes and the vastness of the Mongolian steppe stretching out before us.
